Meeting Convened: 9:39 a.m.
Chairman Clark convened the
meeting and reviewed the Auditor’s marked agenda which included 5 items to be
deferred, 7 items ready for action (2 for withdrawal) and 14 items for second
reading and re-referral.
2012-26 (transferring funding
from 4th Judicial Circuit to the Sheriff’s Office for domestic
violence programs): Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy explained the source
and use of the funds and the need to transfer available funding from the courts
to the JSO to cover a program funding shortfall.
2012-68 (certifying list of
tax roll errors, insolvencies and discounts): Mrs. Billy briefly described the
bill’s purpose in closing out the 2008 tax roll now that the Value Adjustment
Board has finally completed all hearings on the 2008 assessments.
