Meeting Convened: 3:40 p.m.
Dylan Reingold to reviewed
the marked agenda which included 8 items to be deferred, 5 items ready for
action, 10 public hearings to be opened and continued, and 5 items for second
reading and re-referral.
2011-767 and -768 (appeals of
Planning Commission final orders re: Kickbacks Restaurant expansion plans): the
attorneys for the restaurant asked for a deferral, to which the attorney for the
area residents agreed provided that the administrative deviation hearing
scheduled for this Friday is deferred as well.
The Planning Department and Office of General Counsel agreed that it
would be deferred.
2012-14 (rezoning on Lane
Avenue from PUD to PUD): public hearing will be opened and continued. One
neighborhood meeting has been held and another is likely.
2012-18 and -84 (related
administrative deviation and road frontage waivers on Tierra Verde Court):
Dylan Reingold suggested that these two items be taken up together. 2012-18 needs an amendment relating to the
lot size.
2012-57 (rezoning on Chaffee
Road from PUD to PUD): the addition of a revised site plan obviates the need
for some (but not all) of the Planning Department’s recommended conditions.
2012-62 (rezoning from MDR to
HI on Old Middleburg Road N.): Mr. Reingold stated that the applicant has
requested a change in the rezoning from HI (heavy industrial) to LI (light
industrial). Council Member Brown requested
a history of the site and the operation of the current facility before deciding
what is the proper zoning. The Planning
Department and Office of General Counsel are in the process of that research.
