The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:37 P.M.
Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy reviewed the Council Auditor’s Office marked agenda.
Five (5) items were ready for action, two of which were requesting emergency passage; two (2) items were being deferred; one (1) item was being withdrawn; two (2) items were being seconded and recommended for re-referral.
Assistant General Counsel Dylan Reingold felt that though it was the prerogative of the Chair, he (Reingold) felt that Item #2, ORD Adopt Small-Scale Amend to FLUM Map Series of 2030 Comp Plan, 2030 Post St…, ought to be the purview of the Land, Use and Zoning Committee since it requires a quasi-judicial posture with which to act and resolve. Mr. Reingold explained that at a City Council Meeting, Council Member Reggie Brown raised concerns about public safety issues possibly affecting property that abuts the Post Street property. Attorney Steve Debinow, representing the applicant, requested that the Committee defer the bill and take it up at its November 19, 2012 meeting. The Chair deferred the measure.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:45 P.M.
