The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:30 P.M.

 

Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy reviewed the Council Auditor’s Office marked agenda.

 

On Item #1, ORD  2011-692, Approp $1,495,905 from AES Cedar Bay Cogeneration Settlemt Fund & $200,000 from Archie Dickinson Park) for City’s Contribution Toward Acquisition Cost of the Land; Auth Execution of Option Agreemt for Sale & Purchase for 288 Acres of Environmentally Sensitive Land;….”Thomas Creek Battlefield…, Council Member Holt noted that though the item was marked for deferral, he was hoping that the Committee could discuss the item; he had invited a number of individuals to the meeting to address the matter.  He understood that the Council Auditor’s Office had not had an opportunity to examine the substitute and was uncomfortable in moving the measure, but, hope for a discussion of the bill nonetheless.  Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy was, in fact uncomfortable with moving the item and recommended against any action.  Council Member Anderson announced that he has a conflict with the legislation and had filed the necessary papers.  The Chair indicated that she was inclined to have a discussion of the item in Committee.

 

On Item #3, ORD 2012-128, Approp $125,000 from Old Kings Rd Landfill Mitigation Acct to Purchase Prpty Adjacent to Scott Park…, the Chair indicated that the bill’s sponsor had requested that the item be deferred for one cycle.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:38 P.M.
