At the
end of the Committee meeting’s agenda, Council Member Robin Lumb introduced
Chief Ivan Mote, Chief of Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department’s Rescue
Services Division. Chief Mote had been
previously scheduled to provide the Committee with a presentation on Rescue
Services operations but time constraints postponed that presentation.
Chief
Mote described and explained the various medicines and equipment carried on
rescue vehicles. He described, in
detail, management procedures that are resulting in the department’s saving the
City money. After the presentation, the
Chief fielded questions from Council Members.
There
being no further business, the Committee meeting adjourned at 3:44 p.m.
