The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:29 p.m. and proceeded to review the Council Auditor’s Office marked agenda.

 

 

On Item # 1, ORD-MC 2012-451, Amend Chpt 30 (Planning & Dev Dept)…(Addressing & street Naming Regs)…(Procedures to Notify Propty Owners & Occupants of Deuplicat street Names & Out of Sequences Addresses…(appeals) to Supplement & Clafify..Procedures…., the Chair indicated that, though the item was being deferred for today’s Committee meeting, he was having a noticed meeting on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 to discuss this proposed legislation with other Council Members, to address any questions on the bill’s intent.  After the meeting, a decision would be made as to whether to withdraw the measure or not.

 

On Item #3, ORD 2012-492, Approp $13,400,000 from the JIA/CRA Tax Increment Dist to fund (1) Duval Rd Expansion….(2) Future North Access Rd…, Council Member Holt, the bill’s sponsor, expects to have the measure ready for action by the next Committee cycle; he is anticipating some amendments to clarify issues.

 

On Item # 7, ORD 2012-529, Apv 2nd Amend to Redev Agreemt bet City, JEDC & Castro Southeast, Inc & Successor Christieco, Inc to Extend Date on Which City can Draw on the Ltr of Credit to 1/1/17, Curtis Hart thought that the figures representing the current balance on the loan cited in the Council Auditor’s marked agenda ($548,695) were wrong.  Heather Reber of the Council Auditor’s Office indicated that these were the figures that the Office of Economic Development provided.

 

On Item #8, ORD 2012-542, Closing & Abandoning….Portion of an alley bet King, College, Acosta & Posts Strs, an Unopened….R/W at Req of 901 King Street, LLC, to Create a Oarking Lot for a Business on King St…., Assistant General Counsel Dylan Reingold explained and commented on a number of issues raised with this measure at the Rules Committee meeting that had met earlier in the day concerning a neighboring business property.
