CITY COUNCIL AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

Meeting Convened: 4:02 p.m.

Council President Gulliford convened the meeting and asked the committee chairs to report their committee actions.

Rules Committee: Council Member Jones reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

TEU Committee: Council Member Love reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

PHS Committee: Council Member Daniels reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

Finance Committee: Council Member Anderson reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting, also noting the differing committee reports on 2013-118 and -179, the Supervisor of Elections operations center locations. He also noted that there are already 2 excused absences from the budget hearing on Thursday and urged all Finance members to clear their calendars and be sure to attend the hearings on Thursday and Friday.

RCD Committee: Council Member Crescimbeni reported that all of the committee’s actions had been previously covered.

LUZ Committee: Council Member Boyer reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

President Gulliford stated that he would be moving 2013-553 regarding juror parking to the beginning of the agenda following the resolution presentations. That will be followed immediately by the two Supervisor of Elections bills (2013-118 and -179). Congresswoman Corrine Brown has requested to speak to the Council and he will extend her the privilege of the floor.

Council Member Clark requested that his ordinance 2013-518 (appropriating $150,000 to promote the 2014 Florida Country Superfest) be re-referred to committee for further consideration. He understands that there may be other non-City funding sources available for the event.

Clerk of the Courts Ronnie Fussell thanked the Council and administration for their cooperation in reaching a solution to the juror parking issue and stated his agreement with the resolution.

Council Member Jones reminded the council members of the Fire Museum reception and tour scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and encouraged all members to attend.
