The
Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. and reviewed the Council Auditor’s
marked agenda which showed 5 items marked for deferral, 14 items ready for
action (2 as emergencies, 2 substitutes, 1 for withdrawal) and 12 items for
second reading and re-referral.
2013-384
(license agreement with Sons of Confederate Veterans for former National Guard
Armory): another organization has expressed interest in leasing the armory and
Council Member Gaffney has asked that they be allowed to make a presentation
about their proposed use.
2013-685
(defunding the City Comptroller position): the bill will be moved for
withdrawal as the position has been filled.
2013-717
(appropriating $35,000 for installation of water line on Clairmont Road): the
Mayor’s Budget Review Committee identified a funding source for the project;
the Council Auditor’s Office recommends that this bill be approved anyway. Janice Billy and Teresa Eichner will meet
prior to the committee meeting to determine how to proceed.
There
being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 8:47 a.m.
