The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and reviewed the Council Auditor’s marked agenda which included 5 items marked for deferral, 7 items ready for action (1 marked for withdrawal) and 14 items marked for second reading and re-referral.
2013-43 (economic development incentives for Body Central Corp.): this will be the first bill processed under the new “fast track” process for incentives. It was listed in error on today’s Finance agenda – the bill will be heard in a special Finance Committee meeting on Tuesday, January 22nd (delayed from Monday the 21st because of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday).
2012-681 (Ordinance Code amendment regarding Industrial Development Bond Review Committee): Council Member Anderson requested that Chairman Crescimbeni explain the purpose of the bill before it is deferred.
2012-723 (appropriating $555,030 in FEMA funds to acquire and demolish 2 homes in a repetitive flood damage area): Janice Billy reported that detailed information would be available at the meeting regarding the costs of the project.
At the conclusion of the agenda the committee will be asked to vote on two annual reports on funds administered by the Sheriff’s Office. Jessica Deal of the Mayor’s Office will also make a presentation on the latest draft of the quarterly Transfer Directive report requested by the City Council, asking for final comments and suggestions for improvement.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
