legislation with Bill Brinton who has been involved in the City’s
sign-related litigation for many years.
Committee members expressed concern about the possibility that this
legislation might be subject to challenge in a way that could undermine the
sign ordinance on the grounds of its being content-related regulation (some
signs permitted, others not permitted based on the commercial content of the
sign). Council Members Bishop and
