Chairwoman Daniels reviewed
the Council Auditor’s marked agenda which included 2 items marked for deferral,
6 items ready for action (1 to be substituted, 2 as emergencies) and 5 items
for second reading and re-referral
2013-137 (transferring
$700,000 for repairs to the Emergency Operations Center): Public Works Director
Jim Robinson explained the need for the emergency, which is that a grant for
the project is nearing its expiration.
2013-140 (transferring $2.1
million for improvements to the Medical Examiner’s Office): Mr. Robinson
explained that the need for the emergency action is to mitigate unacceptable
working conditions.
2013-87 (appropriating $26.3
million within the Better Jacksonville Plan budget for the State Attorney’s
Office construction project): Cheryl Peek of the State Attorney’s Office will
be present for questions.
