& REREFER At the close of the agenda items, the Chair, Council
Member Kimberly Daniels, appraised the Committee that she was in receipt of
correspondence from Ms. Terra-Franklin Shaw, copies of which had been
provided to Committee Members, regarding safety issues with buildings
identified as located at 1085 Golfair Blvd and 1300 N. Broad Street. Purportedly, the buildings had issues
concerning toxic chemicals, molding conditions and other factors that made
the buildings unsafe for inhabitants.
The Chair has been in touch with City and Environmental
authorities. The Chair indicated that
she and Council Member Don Redman will visit the building sites and report
their findings back to the Committee at the next Committee meeting. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
