Summary R:
Approve APPROVE 5 – 0 Council Member Reggie Brown raised a question regarding the maintenance
of the trees that the City has planted.
He reported that trees that he had planted in his Council District had
showed signs of dying. The Council
Member asked whether or not the City had any kind of warranty with the firm
that it contracts with to plant the trees.
Dave McDaniel of the Public Works Department replied that the City had
a one-year warranty for the trees. He
noted however that nature was nature.
Lin White, Public Works, commented that the City is attempting to buy
trees that are more Florida environment oriented. Council Member Matt Schellenberg commented
on the warranty issue, as well. |
