COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

Attendance: Council Members Jim Love (Chair), Reggie Brown (Vice Chair), Greg Anderson; Assistant General Counsel Paige Johnston; Heather Reber Kyle Billy, Council Auditor’s Office; Michelle Barth, Kevin Craig, Mayor’s Office; Lin White, Joe Namey, Public Works Department; Executive Council Assistants, Kevin Kuzel (Love), Edw Suggs (Daniels); Juliette Williams, Legislative Aide; John J. Jackson, Council Research Division.
The Chair called the Agenda Meeting to order at 1:33 P.M. Prior to reviewing the Council Auditor’s Office’s marked agenda, the Chair indicated that he would be making some brief remarks during the Committee meeting on how he envisions the work in the coming Committee year.
There were seven (7) items ready for the Committee’s action; six (6) items were being deferred; one (1) item was being withdrawn; and six (6) items were being seconded and re-referred.
The Chair indicated that Council Member Warren Jones had requested that Item #5, ORD 2013-297, Estab Temp Moratorium on Demolitions Permits within the Brooklyn Neighborhood Area…being taken up first in the Committee meeting and the Chair was granting that request.
On Item #8, ORD 2013-384, Auth License Agreemt with Sons of Confederate Veterans….to Restore & Manage the Natl Guard Armory at 851 N. Market St for 10 Yrs….the Chair indicated that Council Member Kimberly Daniels, the bill’s sponsor, would have an amendment pertaining to the flags that will be allowed to fly atop the armory.
Item #9, ORD 2013-385, Declaring Surplus the 7 Ash-Remediated Proptys on the “Project New Ground” Sale List…..is being deferred to accommodate Council Member Denise Lee’s request for additional information.
There being no further business, the Agenda Meeting was adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
