Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy explained the transfer of funds among projects to utilize excess state grant funds for other approved projects, which in turn frees up City General Fund dollars for other uses. Luis Flores, Chief of Public Buildings, discussed the City’s deferred maintenance project list. Council Member Crescimbeni requested an update on the Main Library water intrusion remediation project.  Council Member Schellenberg offered an amendment to use $225,000 of the $5 million the City recently appropriated to remediate ADA accessibility issues under the terms of a settlement agreement with the federal government to pay half the cost of the City Hall entryway accessibility project.
