(support). He provided a brief review of the bill. RFP is for Friends of
Hemming Plaza to staff and provided programming seven days a week. Five year
project with 18 months of financing of $1,250,000 of which $250,000 is to be
raised by Friends of Hemming Plaza. Public hearing closed. There was
extensive discussion regarding whether the City “may” or “shall” withhold
payment if Friends of Hemming Plaza does not meet the requirements of the
agreement. CM Boyer made a motion to
adopt the RCD amendment which used “shall” instead of “may”. The committee
defeated the RCD amendment to allow for the original language. Motion/2nd to
accept RCD amendment – Boyer/Redman (0-7) Motion/2nd
move to approve – Boyer/Joost (7-0) APPROVE 7-0 |
