1. Carnell Oliver encouraged the Council
Members to actively engage into the Pension issue to ensure a reasonable
solution. He expressed his concerns that the Mayor isn’t making the right
choices; and informed the committee members that he was entrusting them
(Council) to do the right thing for the taxpayers because of they have the most
experience. He further suggested Council
consider a resolution of some kind to ensure that an exact amount is paid to
the Unfunded Liability Fund every year until it is paid off.
2. CM Bishop is hosting a meeting Tuesday,
June 10th at 1:30p.m., to discuss violation of a PUD rezoning
condition of a property (Girvin Road) in his
district. The meeting will be noticed.
Mr. Gabriel confirmed that the Council could initiate a zoning change.
