LUZ COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

 

January 7, 2014

Attendance:  Council Members Matt Schellenberg (Vice Chair), Robin Lumb, Jim Love, Matt Schellenberg

Chairwoman Boyer called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and reviewed the marked agenda which contained 5 items marked for deferral, 12 items ready for action, 9 public hearings to be opened and continued and 13 items for second reading and re-referral.

 

The LUZ Committee will hold a special meeting on Thursday, January 9th for the purpose of hearing 2013-341 and -342, the land use amendment and rezoning for the St. Johns Village project in Avondale. The public hearing on those bills will be opened tonight and continued to Thursday.

 

2013-493 (amendment to off-site sign regulations): the bill will not be acted upon until a Planning Department staff report has been prepared – possibly January 22nd, but more likely in February.

 

2013-623 (small scale land use amendment on Oak Bluff Lane): an amendment will be requested to modify the legal description of the property.

 

2013-633/634 (land use amendment and rezoning on San Pablo Place): the applicant has requested withdrawal of these items.

 

2013-641/642 (land use amendment and rezoning on San Pablo Place): the applicant has indicated a willingness to waive a formal hearing process if sufficient time is given to the parties to effectively state their cases. Ms. Boyer will meet in the Robert Johnson Room at 4:00 p.m. with all interested parties to discuss the format and timing of the proceedings tonight.

 

2013-776 and -777 (resolutions expressing Council support for J-bills 2 and 3): will be taken up first on the agenda this evening.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:11 p.m.
