At the close of the agenda items, the Committee heard  an update on the work being done to address repair issues at the City’s senior citizens centers.  Luis Flores, Chief, Public Buildings, Public Works Department, apprised the Committee on the status of repair work underway or completed.  He distributed and explained a spread sheet that cited 134 facilities, their location, Council District, nature of the work that needed to be done, the source of the complaint, CARE number, Work Order Number, and other data.  There were three tiers that he described as work that can be addressed by June 2014, work that requires an informal bid, and work that requires design assistance.  Mr. Flores had a lengthy exchange with Council Member E. Denise Lee on the various keys used in the spread sheet.  Ms. Lee pressed for more clarity in explaining data in the spread sheet.  Mr. Flores was to meet with the Chair, Council  Member John Crescimbeni, immediately after adjournment.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at  2:48 P.M.
