The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:31 P.M. and asked Assistant Council Auditor Kyle Billy to review the marked agenda that had been prepared by his office.  There were twelve (12) items ready for action; eight (8) items being deferred; and eleven (11) items being seconded and re-referred.

 

 

On Item #2,ORD-MC 2013-493, Amend Chapt 6565, Part 13 (Sign Regs), Ord Code…. Though the CAO’s marked agenda had the item as deferred, Council Member Richard Clark, the legislation’s sponsor, indicated that it was his hope that the Committee would move a substitute and re-refer the measure.  He was providing the Committee Members with copies of the substitute.

 

The Chair announced that Item #3,  ORD-MC 2014-305, Amend Chapt 615 (Docking), Sec 615.102. to change the time Limit for Docking at Pearl St for Designated Passenger Loading & Unloading Zones from 10 Minutes to 30 Minutes……, was being deferred at the request of the measure’s sponsor, Council Member Jim Love.

 

The Chair announced that Item #4, ORD 2014-389, Approp $750,000 from Downtown Economic Dev Fund for the Downtown Retail Enhancement Grant Prog….was being deferred at the request of the Administration.

 

On Item #7, ORD-MC 2014-471, Amend Chapt 35 (Regulatory Compliance Dept), Ord Code, Part 1 (General) to Create Ofc of Consumer Affairs…Teresa Eichner indicated that a substitute measure was not ready; the Administration was requesting a deferral.

 

On Item #19, ORD 2014-490, Granting an Exception from Sec 656.1009 (Educational Facilities), Ord Code, to Permit a new Educational Facility on Atlantic Blvd S & Girvin…, Council  Member Clark announced that he had requested that Attorney Paul Harden be present at the Committee meeting to explain the request for granting the exception.

 

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
