2ND AND REREFER
At the end of the agenda items, Council
Member E. Denise Lee requested that the Chair explore options to engage the
Parks & Recreation Department to resume the abandoned policy of having
programmed activities at the City’s public parks. Ms. Lee feels that programmed
recreational activities would result in youth involvement with criminal
activity. The Chair, Council Member Don
Redman, indicated that he would have someone from the Parks & Recreation
Department at the next Committee meeting to address the issue. He also floated the idea of possibly having a
sub0-committee look into the matter.
There being no further business, the
meeting was adjourned at 2:48 P.M.
