Vice Chairman Carter reviewed the Council Auditor’s marked
agenda which included 7 items marked for deferral, 16 items ready for action (1 for withdrawal,
1 for substitute and re-referral) and 11 items for second reading and re-referral.
2014-151 (providing for a straw ballot referendum on creating
a residency requirement for City employees) – will be deferred if Council
Member Brown is not present.
2014-186 (Ordinance Code amendment regarding changes to
process for changing names of public streets) – will be deferred if Council
Member Lee is not present.
2014-303 (naming old Federal Courthouse/new State Attorney’s
Office for former State Attorney Ed Austin) – Council Member Anderson has asked
the Austin family how they would prefer for the name to read and may suggest an
amendment.
