In attendance: Council Members Richard Clark (Chair), Lori Boyer, Matt Schellenberg, Bill Gulliford, Ray Holt

Meeting Convened: 8:31 a.m.

 

Chairman Clark called the meeting to order and reviewed the Auditor’s marked agenda which included 19 items marked for deferral, 21 items ready for action (3 for withdrawal) and 19 items for second reading and re-referral.

 

2015-6 (amending the Traffic Code re: enforcement of intersection view zone obstructions): Council Member Boyer will request deferral

 

2015-53 (amending the Ordinance Code to allow the library to retain the fines and fees collects from patrons): will be taken up if Council Member Boyer is present.

 

2015-54 (amendments to Police and Fire Pension Fund benefits): Chairman Clark stated that he planned to have the multiple amendments moved separately for ease of separate consideration at the Council meeting next week.

 

2015-61 (appropriating $65,000 from Fire Department operations to fund a 4th Teen Court Neighborhood Accountability Site in Arlington): the administration requested deferral.

 

2015-105 (appropriating $869,486 toward a purchase of nitrogen mitigation credits from the JEA): Chairman Clark has numerous questions and wants to know what is the City’s plan for truly getting water quality improvements done. He plans to defer the bill.

 

Council Member Boyer said that she would have numerous questions regarding 2015-38 (approving FIND grant application list for FY15-16); the bill will be moved to the end of the agenda.
