Meeting Convened:
8:30 a.m.
Chairman Clark called the meeting to order and reviewed the
Auditor’s marked agenda which included 16 items marked for deferral, 20 items
ready for action (1 as a substitute for re-referral) and 15 items for second
reading and re-referral.
2014-665 (amending Vehicles for Hire regulations regarding
seizure and impoundment of vehicles): will be deferred pending an upcoming
noticed meeting of Council Members Joost, Schellenberg and Anderson
2015-53 (amending the Ordinance Code to allow the library to
retain the fines and fees collects from patrons): will be deferred.
2015-99 (amending the Traffic and Parking code chapter
regarding allocation of dismissal fees): Assistant Council Auditor Kyle Billy
explained the purpose of the bill.
2015-36 (amending the Traffic Code regarding enforcement and
penalties for obstructing visibility):
2015-128 (expressing Council’s intent to levy a
discretionary half-cent sales tax for emergency fire and rescue purposes): will
be deferred. Chairman Clark noted that interlocal agreements will need to be
entered into with the Beaches cities and Baldwin before this bill can become
effective.
