hearing opened. Two speakers: Charles Mann (support) provided a brief summary
of the past rezoning attempts. The legal description was revised to
accommodate additional 10 feet off the northern property line. The agent is
requesting transitional zoning for use of a business park. Hester Gammage
(oppose) represents the neighborhood residents in opposition of the rezoning.
She presented pictures of the subject property, access points on Cortez Road,
and residence immediately across the street. The
committee had extensive discussion regarding a landscape buffer between the
two residences. The agent requested a
deferral to allow time to resubmit application as a PUD. The committee
suggested a “bubble” site plan and revised legal description to include
buffers on Cortez and northern boundary, driveway location (closer to
commercial access). Public
