LUZ COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

 

August 18, 2015

Attendance:  Council Members Scott Wilson (Chair), Lori Boyer, Danny Becton, Aaron Bowman, Jim Love and Joyce Morgan

 

Absent: Council Member K. Brown

 

Also: Folks Huxford, Bruce Lewis, Gary Kresel – Planning & Development Department; Susan Grandin – Office of General Counsel; Philip Zamarron – Legislative Services Division; Yvonne P. Mitchell – Council Research Division

Council Member Wilson called the meeting to order at 1:02p.m. Mr. Bruce Lewis reviewed the marked agenda which contained 19 items marked for deferral, 6 items ready for action (includes a withdrawal and a pending), 12 items marked to be opened and continued, and 8 items marked for second reading and re-referral.

 

2015-62 (Transmittal proposed large scale 306 Carnegie St): Mr. Boswell provided details regarding the recent delays. Fortunately, the survey has been completed and he expects the bill to be ready for action at next committee meeting.

 

2015-439 & 440 (Small scale & rezoning of 7061 Greenland Ridge Lane N): CM Becton requested a deferral to 9/15/15 due to scheduling conflicts and budget hearings.

 

Comments:

Workshop with LUZ committee and Planning Commission will be held in Council Chambers at 4:00p.m.

 

CM Wilson requested Ms. Grandin provide a brief overview of the appeals process for the benefit of the new members. Additionally, Ms. Grandin will review the suggestion of appeals being noticed for 4:00p.m.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:10 p.m.
