The meeting was called to order at 9:03 A.M.
The Chair reviewed the market agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had prepared. There were fifteen (15) items ready for action; seven (7) items being deferred; and six (6) items being seconded and re-referred.
The Chair announced that at end of the agenda items in the Committee meeting, there would be an update from the Health Department.
On Item #9, ORD Auth Lease Agreemt with CDI Corp (Tenant) for Building 900 at Cecil Commerce Ctr…, Assistant Council Auditor Kyle Billy explained what the amendment entailed; he further explained that the lease agreement is a renewal; the tenant has leased this space at Cecil Commerce Center for some years.
On Item # 11, ORD-MC 2015-731, Amend Sec 420.214 (Installation, Maint, Location, Permit & Fee of Fire Hydrants), Ord Code….., Council Member Al Ferraro asked for an explanation of the proposed legislation. Keith Powers, JFRD, explained.
ON Item #20, RESO 2015-749, Auth issuance by Jax Housing Finance Auth (JHFA) of its Homeowner Mtg Rev Bonds of $50,000,000……, Council Member Al Ferraro asked for an explanation on what the proposed legislation entailed. Laura Stagner, Housing and Community Development Division, explained.
On Item #21, ORD 2015-763, Approp $100,332.17 from var Projs (Constn of Fire Stations 26, 28 & 62; Renovations to Ed Ball Bldg;……to allow Art in Public Places to use these Funds.., Council Member Al Ferraro asked for an explanation on what the ordinance entailed. Christie Holecheck, Cultural, Cultural Council, explained.
