Jackson, Council Research Division.

 

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:02 A.M. and proceeded to review the marked agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had prepared. There were six (6) items ready for action, ten (10) items being deferred, two (2) items being seconded and re-referred and two (2) items being withdrawn.

 

On Item #1, ORD-MC Amend Chpt 220 (Vehicles for Hire), Ord Code, Part 5 (Admin; Enforcemt)…..Council Member Matt Schellenberg noted that the item had been on the agenda for a lengthy period of time; he had spoken with Council President Greg Anderson about the matter; the item will be taken up after the Finance Committee’s budget hearings have been completed.

 

On Item #2, ORD 2015-143, Approp $225,000 Grant from Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Inc for 100 Resilient Cities Initiative Proj…, Ali Korman Shelton reported that the Administration requested that the item be withdrawn.  The grant in this legislation had been signed by the previous administration.  The Administration wants to start fresh and re-write the bill.

 

On Item #3, ORD Apv Jax/Duval County Affordable Housing Assistance Prog…., Ms. Shelton announced that Chief of Staff Kerri Stewart would be at the Committee meeting to explain this ordinance and field any questions.

 

On Item #19, ORD 2015-566, Transferring Insurance Recovery Funds from November FY 2013 for a Toxicology Flood Claim….., Ms. Shelton explained that the Administration had requested that this item be withdrawn because it duplicated what another ordinance does.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 9:11 A.M.
