The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 P.M. and asked Assistant Council Auditor Kyle Billy to review the marked agenda that had been prepared by his office. Mr. Billy indicated that there were nine (9) items ready for action; ten (10) items being deferred; twelve (12) items being seconded and re-referred; and four items being withdrawn.
Though Item #23, ORD 2015-360, Closing & Abandoning & /or Disclaiming Portion of an Opened & Improved R/W on Van Wert Ave bet Richmond St & the St. Johns River…., was marked for deferral, Executive Council Assistant Kevin Kuzel indicated that there would be residents from the neighborhood who will be attending the Committee meeting and are expecting to have an opportunity to present their viewpoint on the proposed ordinance. The Chair indicated there would be no Public Comments at the meeting. Council Member Warren Jones felt that the panel was required to provide the meeting’s attendees with an opportunity to express their viewpoints in Public Comments. Assistant General Counsel Paige Johnston said that public comments were at the discretion of the Committee Chairman. The Chair indicated that he would consider the public comment issue when he sees how lengthy the Committee meeting is.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:37 P.M.
