The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:31 P.M. and asked Assistant Council Auditor Kyle Billy to review the marked agenda that had been prepared by his office. There were ten (10) items ready for action; ten (10) items being deferred; eight (8) items being seconded and re-referred; and there were two items marked for withdrawal.
Teresa Eichner, Mayor’s Office, requested that items 1, 2, 4 & 6 (ORD 2014-557, re Continuation Grant; Approp $316,680.91…to City’s NSP1 (Neighborhood Stabilization Prog 1)…; ORD 2014-558, re Continuation Grant; Approp $553,050.51…to City’s NSP3 (Neighborhood Stabilization Prog 3)…; ORD 2014-674, Approp $2,256,024 in HOME Investmt Partnership Prog Funding…; and ORD 2015-15, Approp $58,220 from NW Jax Economic Dev Fund as a Grant to HDW Partners II, Inc…Dev & Constn of a new…Church’s Chicken Restaurant at 1855 Dunn Ave…; be deferred until Ms. Eichner has had an opportunity to meet with Council Member E. Denise Lee. Ms. Lee had raised concerns and had questions about all four items and Ms. Eichner wanted to ascertain whether or not the information that she provided Ms. Lee was satisfactory and answered the questions raised.
The Chair, after conferring with Division Chief Elaine Spencer, deferred the four respective items.
The Chair announced that Public Works Director Jim Robinson would be making a presentation at the Committee meeting on the status of the Southbank Riverwalk project issues.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:37 P.M.
