Amendment, see auditor & CM Boyer amendments on pgs.14-16 Council Member Greg Anderson requested Council Member Lori
Boyer to explain her amendments to this item that had been approved by the
Finance Committee. He was particularly
interested in how either DIA or OED would be using REV Grants as an incentive
tool and whether or not the City Council would have to approve the
incentives. Aundra Wallace, CEO,
Downtown Investment Authority, indicated that he was comfortable with the
Boyer amendments. Council Member Bill
Bishop offered a friendly amendment to clarify language in the proposed amendments. Though there was no Public Hearing, the
Chair allowed John Nooney to make comments.
Mr. Nooney commented on the CRA in the proposed legislation. He also implored the panel to refer the
item to the Jacksonville Waterways Commission for that body’s input. |
