Meeting Convened:
1:30 p.m.
Chairman Schellenberg called the meeting to order and reviewed
the Auditor’s marked agenda which included 12 items marked for deferral, 10
items ready for action (1 for amendment and re-referral) and 21 items for
second reading and re-referral.
2014-769 (reaffirming and reauthorizing direction to the
General Counsel to undertake litigation to determine the legal status of the
Police and Fire Pension Fund’s Senior Staff Voluntary Retirement Plan): the
Chair will take up the bill when Council Member Crescimbeni reaches the meeting
to debate it.
The Chairman also indicated that he would briefly discuss
on-demand transportation systems (like Uber and Lyft) at the end of the
meeting. He intends to take up legislation on the subject in October after the
budget is completed.
