The Chair called the Agenda Meeting to order at 1:30 P.M. and asked Phillip Peterson to review the Marked Agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had prepared.  There were nine (9) items ready for action, four (4) items being deferred and two (2) items being seconded and re-referred.

 

On Item #2, ORD-MC 2015-361, Amend Chapt 804 (Jax Traffic Code), Sec 804.709 (Unlawful to Alter License Plates, Citations, Mobil Home Stickers or Validation Stickers; Penalty)…., Council Member Joyce Morgan wanted to know why this item was being deferred.  Phillip Peterson explained that the NICE Committee is considering changes in the measure and once they have completed their deliberations, the item will come back to TEU.

 

On Item #4, ORD Auth an Amended & Restate Agreemt with Advanced Disposal Services….to provide for Automated Svcs…., Council Member Al Ferraro asked for an explanation on what the proposed ordinance entailed.  Phillip Peterson explained the provisions of the proposed measure and provided some background on how the proposed ordinance came about.  Robert Campbell, Council Auditor’s Office provided further explanation, particularly on what automated services entailed and what the mechanics were in the collection of refuse.  Mary O’Brien, representing Advanced Disposal, joined the discussion, as well.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:50 P.M.
