The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 P.M.
The Chair reviewed the agenda that the marked agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had prepared. There were seven (7) items ready for action, four (4) items being deferred and four (4) items being seconded and re-referred.
On item #5, ORD-MC 2015-508, Tom Goldsbury, Chief, Building & Inspection Division, explained what the proposed legislation entailed.
On Item #6, ORD 2015-509, Approp $1,824,256 from FDEP Fla Inland Protection Fund for the Petroleum Cleanup Prog, Phillip Peterson explained what the ordinance entailed at the request of the Committee Vice Chair, Tommy Hazouri.
On Item #8, ORD 2015-511, Approp $1,000 from Artificial Reef Trust Fund for Expenses Incurred during Deploymt of Donated Materials for an Off-Shore Artificial Reef…, Jody McDaniel, Planning & Development Department, explained the ordinance.
On Item #10, ORD-MC 2015-520, Auth a Constrn & Maint Agreemt with FDOT re FDOT to Undertake, at No Cost to City, I-95 Interchange at SR 202/JTB Blvd Operation Improvemt on Bonneval Rd…., Lin White explained what the bill entailed and indicated that Bill Joyce would be at the Committee meeting to further explain and field questions. Phillip Peterson explained the amendment.
ON Item #11, ORD-MC 2015-522, Amend Chapt 674 (Disaster Preparedness& Civil Emerg), Providing Technical Changes to Part 7 (Debris Removal from Private Streets & other Private Propty)…., Wade McArthur, Office of General Counsel, provided background information on the proposed legislation. He indicated that Assistant General Counsel Sandra Stockwell and Public Works Department Director Jim Robinson would be at the Committee meeting to further explain and be available for questions.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
