The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:28 P.M. 

 

In reviewing the marked agenda that his office had prepared, Phillip Peterson indicated that there were twelve (12) items ready for action; five (5) items being deferred; and seven (7) items being seconded and re-referred.

 

On Item # 2, ORD 2015-146, Approp $2,400,000 from Gen Capital Projs – Invevstmt Pool Earnings Accts to Public Works var Projs – Other Constrn – Old Courthouse/State Atty Acct to Complete Renovation of Far East Area of Bldg…... Mr. Peterson indicated that an additional amendment was forthcoming.  The Chair, Council Member Brown, reported on the noticed meeting that he had called to address issues and questions that had been raised.  He reported that he learned that the courthouse renovation project was not an option; the City was obligated to complete the renovation work under the stipulations of a Memorandum of Understanding that the City had with the State Historic Preservation Office.  Council Member Greg Anderson indicated that he would be asking the Office of General Counsel for an opinion on whether this proposed legislation violated the ordinance that appropriated $350 million for the Unified Courthouse Project.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
