The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:34 P.M. 

 

Phillip Peterson reviewed the marked agenda that had been prepared by the Council Auditor’s Office and indicated that there were eleven (11) items ready for action, three (3) items being deferred; and fifteen (15) items being seconded and re-referred.

 

On Item #1, ORD-MC 2014-553, Amend Sec 741.108 (Violation of Zero-Tolerance for Litter Law), the Chair indicated that the panel needed some guidance on how to proceed.  He professed to be unaware of where the matter stood with the Blight Committee that has been deliberating on the proposed changes to the Ordinance Code.  Council Member Lori Boyer explained that if political signs were an issue, it ought to be understood that political signs are already in the Ordinance Code.  After a brief discussion, the Chair indicated that if the Committee were to take the matter up today, he would be inclined to vote “nay.”

 

On Item #4, ORD-MC 2015-127, Amend Chapt 220 (Vehicles for Hire)….Updating re Licensing, Background Checks, Min Standards for Vehicle Inspections & Insurance Requiremts…., the measure is deferred pending a noticed meeting that will be held later in the week.

 

Item #5, ORD 2015-141, Approp Addnl $180,000 to ITD for Internal Svcs for Ongoing Imrovemts to Bldg Inspection Div’s Electronic Bid System…was being deferred at the request of the Administration.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
