Diversity. The update presentation was
led by John McCarthy, Director, Procurement Services, JEA.
Mr. McCarthy explained that the Joint
Agency Task Force and Jacksonville’s Supplier Diversity Programs was a
collaborative work that involved the City of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville
Aviation Authority, the Jacksonville Port Authority, the Jacksonville
Transportation Authority, JEA, Duval County Public Schools in partnership with
CareerSource Northeast Florida.
Mr. McCarthy provided background on the
Jacksonville Small & Emerging Business (JSEB) that was created in 2004 by
the City and its subsequent adoption by JAXPORT and JEA. Other programs explained included the Disadvantage Business Enterprise
