NOTE:
The next regular meeting will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017.
Council Auditor Kyle Billy reviewed 2
recently released audit follow-up reports. The follow-up to #760A –
Jacksonville Port Authority Accounts Payable Audit – found that the JPA has
resolved all internal control weaknesses (3), findings (1) and opportunities
for improvement (1) to the satisfaction of the Auditor’s Office. The follow-up
to #766A – Jacksonville Port Authority Payroll Audit – found that the JPA has
resolved all but 2 of the original 4 issues (2 internal control weaknesses, 1
finding and 1 opportunity for improvement). Resolution of the two remaining
issues (updating standard operating procedures and revising the payroll system
to properly record shift differentials) is underway and should be completed in
the next few months.
