Discuss:

Update on possible site contamination. The Administration hired an outside company to test the site being acquired for possible contaminants. The report concluded that groundwater samples for volatile organic halocarbons (VOHs) were not detected in any of the samples on the property being acquired by the City. However, the report notes that if development of the site being acquired involves dewatering, precautions may be necessary to mitigate potential migration of contaminants associated with the former dry cleaning facility previously located at the corner of San Marco Blvd and Lasalle Street.
