CM Boyer shared information regarding potential
concern about single-family dwellings being rented as vacation homes and event
locations within a residential zoning. She suggested that committee begin to
consider possible ramifications of the Zoning Code and alternative solutions.
In addition, CM Boyer discussed issues related to on-site retention ponds not
maintaining the water and contributing to flooding. She requested the committee
to ensure that future designs must maintain water on-site to minimize further
flooding. There were several comments about flooding in various districts
associated to retention ponds and flood zone requirements. Chairman
Schellenberg requested that Mr. Killingsworth provide a white paper on the
subject to the TEU and LUZ committees.
