Topic: NCSPHS Committee agenda meeting

Location: City Council Chamber, 1^st floor, City Hall – St. James Building, 117 West Duval Street

Attendance:   Council Members: Sam Newby, Aaron Bowman, Greg Anderson, Scott Wilson and Jim Love

Also: Paige Johnston – Office of General Counsel; Kim Taylor – Council Auditor’s Office; Jordan Elsbury– Mayor’s Office; Colleen Hampsey– Council Research Division; Staci Lopez– Legislative Services Division.

Meeting Convened: 9:00 a.m.

Councilman Newby called the meeting to order and reviewed the marked agenda. There were six (6) items ready for action (one as a substitute), five (5) items marked for deferral, and eight (8) items for second reading and re-referral.

Councilman Newby said that 2017-563 will be taken up last and open for public comment. Mr. Newby announced that there will be an update from the Health Department and JFRD.

Peggy Sidman, Office of General Counsel, said that there may be some discussion regarding 2017-656 (a J-bill from the Florida Legislature requiring JSO to provide crossing guards at schools) during the committee meeting.
