Topic: NCSPHS Committee agenda meeting

Location: City Council Chamber, 1^st floor, City Hall – St. James Building, 117 West Duval Street

Attendance:   Council Members: Sam Newby, Aaron Bowman, Jim Love, and Garrett Dennis (arrived 9:04 am)

Also: Paige Johnston – Office of General Counsel; Kim Taylor – Council Auditor’s Office; Jordan Elsbury– Mayor’s Office; Colleen Hampsey– Council Research Division; Philip Zamarron– Legislative Services Division.

Meeting Convened: 9:00 a.m.

Councilman Newby called the meeting to order, asked the attendees to introduce themselves and reviewed the marked agenda. There were four (4) items ready for action (1 as an emergency), four (4) items marked for deferral, and ten (10) items for second reading and re-referral.

Councilman Newby announced that the Department of Health will be updating the committee. Council Member Love suggested that, at future meetings, the Sheriff’s Office and Fire and Rescue should provide updates about current trends or issues in the city.
