Attendance: Council Members: Sam Newby (Chair), Bill Gulliford (Vice Chair), Anna Lopez Brosche, Aaron Bowman ; Assistant General Counsel Paige Johnston; Assistant Council Auditor, Kyle Billy; Jordan Elsbury, Administration; John J. Jackson, Yvonne Mitchell, Council Research Division; Legislative Assistant Tess Patterson, Philip Zamarron.
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
The Chair reviewed the marked agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had prepared. There were four (4) items ready for action, two (2) items being deferred and three (3) items being seconded and re-referred.
On Item #1, ORD 2016-359, Amend Chapt 122 (Public Prpty), Creating New Sec 122.110 (Skateboarding on Public Prpty)…, the ordinance’s sponsor, Council Member Bill Gulliford updated the panel on the status of the item. He met recently with Sports & Entertainment Director, Dave Herrell, to discuss the issue. They are narrowing the search for a downtown location for a skateboard park. The Tony Hawk Foundation has been identified as a funding source.
The Chair announced that the topic for the Special Meeting would be Senior Wellness.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 8:32 a.m.
