This bill amends Council Rules to include all council members’ names on resolution which honor and commend, rather than requiring council members to request to be added as a co-sponsor. As Council Member Schellenberg was not at the committee meeting to speak about the bill, a motion to defer was proposed but rejected by the chairman. A vote on the motion to defer failed 3-3. The vote to approve the bill failed 1-5. Chairman Carter called for the bill to be reconsidered and a motion to defer was approved 4-2.
