COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES
December 4, 2017

Attendance: Council Members Al Ferraro (Chair), Jim Love (Vice Chair), Lori Boyer; Assistant General Counsel Paige Johnston; Phillip Peterson, Council Auditor’s Office; Jordan Elsbury, Administration; Adri Maguire Segui, Legislative Assistant; John J. Jackson, Council Research Division.
The Chair, Council Member Al Ferraro, called the agenda meeting to order at 1:30 P.M.
The Chair requested Phillip Peterson to review the marked agenda that had been prepared by the Council Auditor’s Office. There were six (6) items ready for action, four (4) items being deferred, eleven (11) items being seconded and re-referred, and one (1) request for emergency action.
The Chair announced that prior to turning the panel’s attention to agenda items, the Committee would hear an update on JTA’s CTC (Community Transportation Connection) by Jessica Shepler.
The Chair indicated that Item #6, ORD 2017-767, Approp $176,023 from Tree Protection & Related Expenses Trust Fund to Plant Trees & Incidental Landscaping…..on Hammond Blvd…, would be taken up first.
Item #3, ORD-MC 2017-632, Amend Part 4 (Resource Recovery Prog), Chapt 380 (Solid Waste Mgmt), Ord Code, to Update Dept Name & Amend references to Host Fees…... was being deferred until the Special Committee on Solid Waste resumed its work and made recommendations.
Phillip Peterson explained that a fourth (4th) amendment had been added to Item #10, RESO 2017-773, Designating a Parcel on W/S of Bella Mara Rd…as a Brownfield Area for Environmental Rehab & Economic Dev…., by the NCSPHS Committee at their meeting earlier in the day.
NCSPHS had added a second amendment to Item #21, ORD-MC 2017-820, to determine whether to Conduct a PH to Consider the Petition to Amend Boundary of Tolomato Community Dev Dist…, when the Committee met earlier in the day.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:32 P.M.
