COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES
November 20, 2017

Attendance: Council Members Al Ferraro (Chair), Jim Love (Vice Chair), Lori Boyer, Aaron Bowman;; Assistant General Counsel Paige Johnston; Phillip Peterson, Council Auditor’s Office; Jordan Elsbury, Administration; Adri Maguire Segui, Legislative Assistant; John J. Jackson, Council Research Division.
The Chair, Council Member Al Ferraro, called the agenda meeting to order at 1:30 P.M.
The Chair requested Phillip Peterson to review the marked agenda that had been prepared by the Council Auditor’s Office. There were three (3) items ready for action, two (2) items being deferred and six (6) items being seconded and re-referred.
The Chair announced that prior to turning the panel’s attention to agenda items, the Committee would hear two updates. Council Member Lori Boyer will update the panel on the monthly meeting of the North Florida TPO (North Florida Transportation Planning Organization). Public Works Director, John Pappas, will update the Committee on status of FDOT repair work planned or underway for Wonderwood Road.
The Chair announced that Item #4, ORD-MC 2017-632, Amend Part 4 (Resource Recovery Program), Chapt 380 (Solid Waste Mgmt), Ord Code, to Update Dept Name & Amend References to Host Fees to be Consistent with new Part7; Create New Part 7 (Constrn & Demo Debris Collection & Transp Franchises)…., will be taken up last. It was his intention to review all of the amendments and to open up the floor for public comments before proceeding to a general discussion of the agenda item.
Phillip Peterson informed the Committee that though Item #5, Resolution 2017-733 was marked as ready for action, Council Member Garrett Dennis, the measure’s sponsor, had requested that it be deferred.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:32 P.M.
