Meeting Convened: 9:00 a.m.
Chairman Dennis called the meeting to order and asked the attendees to introduce themselves for the record. The chairman announced that the Council Auditor would be giving an overview of 2 recently released audit reports and that the committee would get an update on the number of roofing permits issued since Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
Mr. Dennis reviewed the Auditor’s marked agenda which included 10 items marked for deferral, 14 items ready for action (2 for withdrawal, 1 requested for emergency action), and 13 items for second reading and re-referral.
2017- 848 (appropriation of TDC funds to the Jacksonville Zoo): Council Member Boyer reported that Jacksonville Zoo Director Tony Vecchio has a zoo board of trustees meeting this morning and should be arriving after 10:30 a.m. She asked that if this item is reached on the agenda before he arrives, that it be postponed until later in the meeting when he can be in attendance.
