Bill
Summary 7-0
Amend/Approve CM Carter explained his amendment to the bill. It will
create an appropriation of $50,000 for a Trust Fund for the facility and repairs.
This amendment also gives extra time to fix needed repairs on the Arena. CM Hazouri asked how much is in the Trust Fund. Council
Auditor Kim Taylor said there is approximately $414,000 in the Taye Brown
Trust Fund. The third amendment
incorporates the following changes: -
Adds a provision that
the City shall reimburse NFES for any City-approved emergency repairs -
Adds a provision that
the City is responsible for all necessary capital expenditures in excess of
$2,500, as defined in the third amendment -
Adds provision that the
City will give reasonable consideration to funding requests in the annual
budget for new capital projects, replacement of obsolete equipment, and/or
acquisition of new equipment and program items for future new expansions -
Revises audit
requirement from annual to every five years Concern No funding has been budgeted
for emergency repairs. There is a balance of $250,000 designated for
unanticipated repairs, requests, or emergency issues within Subfund 5A1
(Public Building Allocations) for use at City buildings. However, this is not
intended to be used for the Equestrian Center. |
