Presentations:

1.        Alison Hewitt, Department of Health (DOH), stated the Zika update will no longer be a separate report due to the decline in cases.  The DOH will be present at the TEU meeting to answer questions related to the septic tank legislation. Council Members K. Brown, R. Brown, Gaffney, and Newby participated in a community meeting with the department to discuss the absence of grocery stores and opportunities available to relieve the community of food deserts. The DOH recent staff transitions include Dr. Kelli Wells as the new Statewide Medical Director for County Health Systems. The interim Administrator for Duval County is Ms. Erin Hess.

2.        Chief Kurt Wilson, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, provided a mid-year budget review.
