SUMMARY NCSPHS: 2nd
READ 2ND AND REREFER
Council Member Lori Boyer explained
that TECO Gas is doing some pipeline replacement work in San Marco and in view
of the recent news from Massachusetts (Andover, North Andover and Lawrence)
where gas pipeline work resulted in deadly explosions that leveled or heavily
damaged homes, it might be worthwhile for the Committee to reach out to the
administration to make sure that the San Marco pipeline work will not encounter
hazardous problems.
In Public Comment, Ms. Kathleen McFatter brought to the Committee’s attention drainage
problems in her neighborhood. She
explained that the Florida Department of Transportation is doing construction
work in her Little Cedar Creek (under I-95) neighborhood that has resulted in
extensive flooding. Ms. McFatter fielded questions from the Committee on the
specific conditions of the situation.
There being no further business, the
meeting was adjourned at 2:35 P.M.
